FlyBy Aviation Academy

FlyBy Aviation Academy is an EASA Approved Training Organisation registered with Spain's civil aviation authority AESA. Founded in 2008 in Bilbao by two commercial pilots, it has grown into the largest ATO in Spain, training cadets from more than 115 nationalities.

The academy flies primarily from Burgos Airport, with additional operations at nearby Logrono, in an uncongested region of northern Spain with nine ILS-equipped airports within a 100-mile radius. Burgos itself is a small, walkable and notably safe city with a climate that supports year-round flying. The flagship integrated ATPL takes students from little or no experience to airline standard in around 14 months, and the pricing is genuinely all-inclusive: one fee of roughly 79,500 euros covers training, a single campus room with private bathroom, and three meals a day, seven days a week. Additional pathways include an ATPL combined with a University of Burgos degree, an instructor-rating option with a one-year job guarantee, and a tailored EASA plus DGCA program for Indian students.

The fleet of more than 45 aircraft is predominantly modern glass-cockpit Tecnams, supported by four simulators including an A320 device for jet orientation and MCC training. Many graduates move on to European carriers such as Ryanair.
