OVERVIEW
Auckland International Pilot Academy is the professional training division of the North Shore Aero Club, which has trained pilots since 1963. The academy operates from North Shore Airport, roughly 20 minutes north of Auckland's city centre in a quieter coastal corner of New Zealand's largest city, and holds CAA New Zealand Part 141 approval.
The core pathway is the NZ Diploma in Aviation Level 5, completable in 82 weeks, which leads to a New Zealand CPL with multi-engine and instrument rating privileges.
The fleet covers each training stage: Robin R2120 and Alpha 160 aircraft for primary work, seventeen Cessna 172SP models for navigation and IFR flying and two Diamond DA42s with Garmin G1000 glass cockpits.
The NZ CPL follows ICAO standards and converts smoothly in most jurisdictions.
HIGHLIGHTS
AIPA is located at Aucklands north shore approximately 30 minutes drive outside the city centre. Students can look forward to flying from a well structured Aeroclub Campus but enjoy the professionalism of the APT Group.
